An annual subscription is required and fares for the journey are paid in cash direct to the volunteer on the day of the journey at 50p per mile plus a small booking fee.

Become a Member

To take advantage of the Wellbeing Cars service at Shire Community Services, you’ll need to become a member, which costs just £40 per year. As a member, you can book a Wellbeing Car for medical appointments, shopping trips, or social outings, all with the added benefit of a friendly driver to assist you.

This service is a great way to maintain your independence and stay connected to your community, while ensuring that you have reliable and affordable transportation when you need it most.

Would You Volunteer?

We're always on the lookout for new volunteers to help with our wellbeing car service. Volunteers are reimbursed at 50p per mile, by our members once they've dropped them back home.
